About minor Swing Workshop Weekend
All That Swing Minor Swing Weekend
All That Swing has been around for a while, spreading the joy of Vintage Swing Dancing to the people in and around Salzburg with classes, socials, workshops, and – on occasion – to a wider audience with workshop weekends.
After 2020, when everything came to a grinding halt, it took us a while to come back to the dance floor and our regularly scheduled programme. So it is with no small amount of joy and relief that we invite you to our first post-pandemic workshop weekend, the newly minted Minor Swing Weekend.
It is the first but hopefully not the last weekend of its kind. What is in stall for you?
- Incredible international trainers to inspire and help you to connect in a more comfortable, fun, and meaningful way with the music and your partner in your Lindy Hop Dancing during the day
- Workshops in the shadow of the towering Salzburg Fortress
- Cosy atmosphere
- Amazing DJs and Live Music at night
Meet the Artists

Alice & Felipe
Alice started dancing at the very young age of 4 years old and has done numerous types of dances until she fell in love with Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz. She has now been swing dancing for 19 years and keeps being fascinated by the art of improvisation. Connecting with her partner through rhythm helps her dance, her following, and is the most inspiring thing to her at the moment. She has been spreading the joy of Lindy Hop and Authentic Jazz in more than 30 countries through teaching, performing, competing, and social dancing. She loves the diversity of movement and the freedom of expression this dance brings to the world. She hopes to keep learning things and keep on inspiring people for as long as possible.
Felipe grew up in an environment where music, dance and rhythm is a part of the everyday life. Spending most of his youth in music studios, theatre productions and performing absurd theatre sketches in his native Brazil’s nightlife, Felipe only encountered Swing Dancing in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Feeling drawn to the music and the beauty of the social dance culture, Felipe’s pursuit in Swing Dancing took him to the biggest dance camps, including Herräng and Frankie 100. There he would learn more about the origins and history of this culture that had captivated him.
In the next few years, Felipe would establish himself as an avid performer and instructor, sharing his passion and love for Jazz history, music and dance.
Elze & Peter
Elze and Peter are maybe just the right amount of crazy you’ve been looking for. She comes from Lithuania, while he comes from Los Angeles and together, they have this Euro-American style all about fun and connectedness. Their musicality, playfulness, and creativity are not just parts of their light-hearted personalities as dancers, but also as instructors. For them, Lindy Hop is much more than only leading and following … it’s dancing … trying to feel your partner … and in the meantime having a freaking great time!
Their energy is contagious and their class material is stimulating. Be prepared for loud laughs, crazy fun, and exciting new moves!

The Coquette Jazz Band
In 2016 Mátyás Papp and Mátyás Bartha formed The Coquette Jazz Band to bring back the Golden Age of jazz to audiences across Europe. The main profiles of the ensemble are danceable swing music from the 1930s and the sound of the Dixieland Revival Era. The Coquette Jazz Band plays their own innovative arrangements along with popular melodies from Fats Waller, John Kirby, Bix Beiderbecke and Duke Ellington.
DJ Yeamon Kemp
Born in Spain, Marcos Solana (a.k.a. Yeamon Kemp) has been living in Austria for 10 years. Jazz fan since his teenage years and Lindy Hop dancer, he is often seen on the decks playing music both in the local scenes of Salzburg and Linz, and at international swing festivals such as Winter Black Swing Festival (Spain), Jive Swing (Croatia) or Shake the Change (Slovenia). Besides the essential Big-Band and Kansas City sounds, his sets often contain tracks that go as far as Hard Bop, trying to encourage the dancers’ creativity. From Goodman, Ellington and Basie to Garland or Mobley, every song must have a special groove – along with lots and lots of swing.

DJane V-Vibes
DJane V-Vibes will offer you a variety of swingmusic, that will get your body moving topped with some musical surprises. She will spread the good vibes by sharing her swingy tunes with you!
DJane Sugarfoot Julie
Sugarfoot Julie is usually spinning the decks in Graz. She loves to cater swinging tunes to dancers and is known for throwing in some very special songs here and there.

Levels
Intermediate
You have been dancing Lindy Hop for a while. You feel comfortable dancing with partners of different levels and are a regular on the social dance floor.
Swingout?
Yeah, it mostly works fine when I lead/follow it.
Dancing to the music instead of using it as a metronome?
I am aware of the concept of Musicality and have managed to be musical, but it doesn’t always work and not with every partner.
How’s your Connection?
I know that every partner is different and I try to adapt my connection to the person I am dancing with, but it can be still challenging.
How are you doing with different Tempos?
I feel fairly confident with mid-range tempos, but at slow or fast tempos it is hard to keep the rhythm and maintain a good connection.
Intermediate-Advanced
Lindy Hop is a part your life. You are a regular on the social dance floor and don’t just participate in classes and/or workshops, but work on the topics you encounter there on your own as well.
Swingout?
What kind would you like me to do?
Dancing to the music instead of using it as a metronome?
Musicality is a great way to use my latest footwork variation and improvise a little.
How’s your Connection?
I try to be a comfortable Lead/Follow, but sometimes it’s hard to find the right connection if my partner doesn’t match my effort.
How are you doing with different Tempos?
I feel fairly confident with mid-range tempos, slower and faster music, but with really slow or fast music I have to make a choice between doing what I know myself capable of and a good connection to my partner.
Advanced
Classes, Workshops, Socials, Privates you’ve done them all. You practice alone and with partners. You integrate parts of other dances into your Lindy Hop, Improvisation is an integral part of your dance, and you have an individual style.
Swingout?
The basics are always something to work on and refine.
Dancing to the music instead of using it as a metronome?
If you don’t dance to the music, why dance at all? Some is sound, some is movement, but it’s all Jazz.
How’s your Connection?
I love how finding the right connection with a new partner can make every dance special and inspire in different ways. There is magic in the playful interaction with another dancer.
How are you doing with different Tempos?
It’s less about the tempo and more about the groove. If you feel the music, it will move you.
